“I forgot my glasses!”

How many times have you heard – or said- that? Lots, right? Once and for all, here’s the solution to this problem: ThinOptics.

December 6, 2018. Why didn’t somebody figure this out years ago? A pair of magnifier reading glasses in a rugged case that’s the thickness of two credit cards. With a footprint that’s smaller than an iPhone. (For the always-forgetful, they even come with a piece of double-sided tape so you can attach the case to your phone.)

The glasses and the case look cool. They weigh next to nothing. Highly refined design and engineering.

Leave them in your pocket. Never leave home without them. Never again struggle to read the way-too-fine print on the menu in that romantically dark restaurant. Read the whole Sunday New York Times with them. they’re available in a range of 1.5 – 2.5x magnification.

And they fit in the tiniest stocking. From $19.95 to $49.95.

Wow it’s bright out here!

Put on a pair of these ROKA Sunglasses. They’re incredibly light and comfortable – and they stay on. Bend over, jump up and down, run, swim – they don’t fall off. They have these patented “Geko Pads” for comfortable traction – and they get stickier when they’re exposed to sweat or water.

The lenses are terrific: polarized, anti-scratch, anti-fog, and anti-reflectance coatings. Super-hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings for anti-spotting, fingerprint resistance, and easy cleaning.

They’re not super cheap, but they’re way cheaper than anything of close-to-comparable quality. Super high value. Super high quality right where you need it; between your eyes and the sun. From $95.

Complete and convenient protection. So get out there! In the sun. But protect your eyes.

Here in the northern hemisphere, the days are shorter and the sun’s lower in the sky. Just can’t get enough sun, right? Gotta counteract Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

Well, that’s true for every body part except your eyes. Your eyes can get too much. Even if you don’t plan to head south for a beach vacation. Or north for a ski vacation. So put on some protection that stays on: ROKA Sunglasses

Never leave home without them
My ThinOptics reading glasses and my iPhone. $19.95 – $49.95 (iPhone not included).

Leave them in your pocket. Never again struggle to read the way-too-fine print on the menu in that romantically dark restaurant.

It’s always something
The sun’s UV-B rays activate our Vitamin D. It’s hard to get too much of that. In fact, most of us are Vitamin D-deficient. As more studies focus on it, Vitamin D-deficiency looks more and more like a causal factor in everything from obesity to arthritis to high blood pressure to diabetes to breast, colon and other forms of cancer.

According to Michael Holick, Ph.D., M.D., the man responsible for the first isolation and identification of the active form of Vitamin D: “Our richest source of Vitamin D is the sun. Most of us need only a few minutes a day of sun exposure during the summer months to maintain healthy Vitamin D levels throughout the year.”

If you still want to keep your face out of the sun, that’s OK. It’s only 9% of your skin. Your legs are 36%. Your arms are 18%. Your back: another 18%. So take off your shirt. And/or your pants.

But leave these sunglasses on.
